Kids and Salad

I recently shared this tip with a friend of mine and she couldn’t believe how she didn’t think of it. Make a salad for dinner and include homemade vinaigrette dressing. Throw in bell peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers, and I guarantee you will get your child to try at least one of these great veggies with the dressing on it. It’s not ranch or any other bottled dressing, so no preservatives!
I encourage you to make your own vinaigrette with olive oil and lemon or red wine vinegar, fresh garlic, salt, and pepper, and then toss with the salad and veggies. Mix the dressing in a separate container first, and then pour it over the salad. This way you can add more ingredients if you need to.
My son loves the peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes!
Subscribe to my blog because I will be posting a Middle Eastern Salad Dressing soon.
